How long has Hyperion Servers been in business? Are you a legitimate company?
Hyperion Servers™ parent company Leet, LLC was registered in The State of Michigan and has been registered since November of 2004. Leet, LLC specializes in network and computer repair for businesses in south-eastern Michigan. Hyperion Servers arose in April of 2007. When we discovered that all of our competitors couldn’t match our performance, especially our prices, we we’re determined to make the best server’s you could ever have at the best prices ANYWHERE.

We have some of the best hardware in the industry. AT A MINIMUM your server will be running on a dual quad core Xeon 5345 with two 500gb hard drives in a RAID1 array so your data will stay safe, and 8gb of PREMIUM DDR2-667 Registered Memory. All of our servers run a highly customized version of the linux operating system. These configurations make sure that if someone abuses their server, it will NEVER adversely affect any other servers on that box. All of our servers are 100% COMPANY OWNED and managed. Our servers are using 100% dedicated Internap bandwidth being drawn from a 10gb DEDICATED Internap backbone. Yes, you read right, that’s a 10,000mbit uplink/downlink to the internet. How do I reboot my server?
Login to your control panel at control.hyperionservers.com. On the main page you will be able to stop, start, and reboot your server from there.
How do I access rcon?
If you're inside the game, in your server, open up the console and type: rcon_password yourpassword
This will allow you to access the rcon of your server. If you are unsure of what your password is, you can find it in your %server root%/cstrike/cfg/server.cfg. You can get to this by using your file manager in the control panel, or directly by ftp.
How do I update my server?
You reset it. Our servers are set to automatically check and install updates on restart.
How do I update zblock?
Drop by your leagues website and download the newest version. You will extract the contacts of the file you download to your %serverroot%/cstrike/addons folder.
How do I make changes to my server?
The absolute easiest way to edit all editable aspects of your server is from the control panel at http://control.hyperionservers.com
All file changes can also be made through FTP. Once connected to your game server through FTP, you can access all aspects of your server for example:
• All of the server configurations and cal league configurations are located in the 'cfg' folder.
• All of the maps along with default maps are located in the 'maps' folder.
In order to make changes to your server configuration or league configuration just edit one of the files in the cfg folder then upload it to the game server.
We recommend downloading SmartFTP or Fireftp to do all your file transfering.
How do I turn off dynamic pricing?
This should never happen but sometimes after a server restart it has the possibility to enable itself. Just type: “rcon mp_dynamicpricing 0” then “rcon changelevel the-map-you-are-currently-on” dynamic pricing will become disabled.
How do I activate and/or control Source:TV in my private?
In your server.cfg file you need to configure the following variables:
tv_enable 1 – Turns SRCTV on and off 1=on 2=off
tv_maxclients 5
tv_name X - this is the name of your SrcTv-Server
tv_password X - this is the password SrcTv-spectators must enter to join the server
tv_autorecord 1 - This will force SrcTv to always record a server-sided demo
The following commands can be executed from rcon:
tv_record demoname - will start recording a demo wih the name provided
tv_stop - will directly stop the SrcTv Broadcast
tv_status - make sure you have a screenshot of this status when playing a match! (rcon tv_status)
